The Process Development Engineer I is primarily responsible for a functional project engineering group within the department, consisting of multiple engineering disciplines. They are involved in the design, development, documentation, and validation of new customer products, as well as the modification of existing products. This includes defining requirements, timelines, and deliverables with a focus on prototypes, process development, design verification, clinical builds, training production, and preparation for process validation and manufacturing transfer of products.
Responsibilities
Lead a functional project engineering group within the department, consisting of multiple engineering disciplines.
Design, develop, document, and validate new customer products.
Modify existing products, including defining requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
Focus on prototypes, process development, design verification, clinical builds, training production, and preparation for process validation and manufacturing transfer.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and illustrations.
Prepare technical reports and conduct small group presentations.
Essential Skills
Experience in validation, manufacturing processes, process engineering, and design.
Proficiency in MS Project, medical devices, design of experiments, OQ/PQ, and IQMS.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field.
5-10 years of experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
Strong organizational and computer skills, including MS Office suite.
Ability to fully interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and illustrations.
Strong analytical skills and ability to obtain, evaluate, and apply secondary research information.
Ability to learn and apply new technology.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with mechanical, tool design, and manufacturing processes preferred.
Technical report preparation and good small group presentation skills.
Work Environment
This role is based in an engineering/manufacturing environment. It involves using various technologies and equipment, including MS Project and other relevant software tools. The work may require interpreting technical drawings and specifications. The position may also involve clinical builds, training production, and preparation for process validation and manufacturing transfer.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
