Overview

Akima Systems Engineering (ASE) has an opening for a part-time Logistics Specialist to support the U.S. Coast Guard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC) in Portsmouth, VA. This position under the C5ISC Engineering Services Division Sensors Electronics Branch (ESD-SEB) will facilitate configuration management of Nationwide Automatic Identification System (NAIS) equipment. Responsibilities

• Performs logistic program activities to ensure effective and economical support for servicing products, systems or equipment.

• Operates Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) systems and applies store keeping policy and procedures in development of Operation Logistics Support Summary (OLSS) documents; Equipment/System Integrated Logistics Support Plan (EILSP); User Logistics Support Summary (ULSS); and with fleet Introduction/Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) certification.

• Filling out submitting required Configuration Change documentation.

• Work with NAIS personnel, both Government and Contractors, in collecting, updating, and disseminating NAIS engineering configuration artifacts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in supply chain management/logistics and 4 years of experience in logistics, or High school diploma and 6 years of experience in DoD/USCG logistics management.

• Able to obtain a Public Trust.

• This Hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from Suffolk, VA.
