Tool and Die Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, constructing, and repairing special tooling molds and dies. You will provide troubleshooting assistance on production issues involving tooling and support manufacturing operations through the fabrication of jigs and fixtures.
Responsibilities
Clean and maintain hot form tooling.
Construct and repair special tooling molds and dies.
Investigate tooling problems and propose potential fixes.
Assist the Manufacturing Departments in developing methods to incorporate process improvement ideas.
Provide troubleshooting assistance on production issues involving tooling.
Fabricate jigs and fixtures as needed to support manufacturing operations.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in using milling machines.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Experience in fabrication.

Ability to perform tasks involving high levels of cognitive function and judgment.
Not mentally or physically impaired from any cause that can adversely affect the ability to perform the duties of the position safely and competently.
Ability to take prompt and appropriate response to operating conditions.

Ability to quickly store and recall instructions in one’s short-term memory.
Ability to concentrate.

Work Environment
The job operates in both a manufacturing plant and professional office environment. You may use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. In the manufacturing environment, you will be frequently exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, excessive heat, cold, wet, bright light, and slippery conditions. The noise level in the manufacturing plant can be very loud, with ear protection provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sumner, Washington.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00
