Our client, a leading global provider of products, services, and solutions to industrial and commercial users of electronic components and enterprise computing solutions. They are seeking a talented Hardware Engineer to join their dynamic team.

The Hardware Engineer role is a crucial position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise and soft skills. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge hardware solutions that drive innovation and meet the evolving needs of the industry.

Job Title: Hardware Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Pay Range: Up to $64 per hour

What’s the Job?

  • Design, simulate, prototype, debug, and test embedded systems combining electronics, mechanics, optics, and software, with end-to-end ownership of product design throughout early product development.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, research, system engineering, architecture, product design, NPI, and others, to identify and solve complex design and technological challenges.

  • RTL development and testing for FPGA targets/platforms to support rapid prototyping, including experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, and digital circuit design.

  • Assist with algorithm analysis, verification, and improvement, as well as develop component and system-level performance specifications.

  • Direct and manage contingent/contract design and test resources, ensuring successful execution of multiple workstreams simultaneously while balancing and prioritizing project workloads against timeline constraints.

What’s Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 8 years of end-to-end FPGA design experience, including RTL development, simulation, implementation, and hands-on bring-up and debug.

  • Experience with commercial HDL simulators (e.g., ModelSim/Questa), Verilog, and SystemVerilog.

  • Knowledge of digital circuit design and various communication protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, I2S, USB, MIPI, PCIe, etc.

  • Experience with board-level testing using tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
