Primary Function
Seeking a versatile Technician to support multimedia and broadcast production needs across pre-production, live production, and post-production phases. This role involves operating high-end production equipment in both live broadcast and studio environments, assisting with corporate-wide broadcasts, and ensuring seamless AV experiences for high-profile events and executive communications. The ideal candidate will be proficient in multimedia systems, post-production editing, and troubleshooting complex AV systems. A passion for live events, attention to detail, and technical troubleshooting expertise are critical to success in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide support for the production and post-production stages of meetings, conferences, events, and corporate-wide broadcasts, ensuring high-quality results
Offer hands-on assistance and training to end-users on the effective operation of multimedia systems, ensuring smooth, user-friendly experiences during live and recorded productions
Operate production equipment in live broadcast environments, including video switchers, video routers, audio consoles, encoders, cameras (both manned and robotic), lighting consoles, and video conferencing codecs
Oversee studio-based production workflows, including operating video switchers, audio consoles, cameras, and lighting equipment, to deliver polished, studio-quality content
Perform essential post-production editing tasks, such as trims, cuts, transitions, adding lower-thirds, audio mixing/cleanup, and uploading content to various platforms
Step into roles as needed, including grip, stagehand, or production assistant to meet the specific needs of each production
Assist with the setup, testing, and maintenance of studio and live production equipment
Conduct preventive maintenance and coordinate with vendors or manufacturers to resolve technical issues
Travel to other office locations in the Bay Area to support events and ensure consistent AV setup and execution
Assist with corporate meetings and events requiring the use of audio, video conferencing, webcasting, visual displays, projection, and control systems
Provide high-level AV support to senior executive staff, ensuring seamless multimedia operations for high-stakes communications and events
Diagnose and resolve technical issues with videoconferencing, audio conferencing, and integrated AV technologies in a large enterprise environment. Deliver quick, effective solutions to maintain operational integrity
Assist with project and workflow documentation and special projects

Strong troubleshooting abilities in high-pressure environments, especially with videoconferencing and AV systems
Ability to work in collaborative, fast-paced production settings with flexibility to adapt to changing roles and responsibilities
Experience supporting senior execs and delivering high-quality AV solutions in corporate settings
Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide user-friendly technical training to non-technical staff
Strong experience in video and audio encoding technologies
Expertise in live video delivery across multiple CDNs, troubleshoot stream quality in real-time
Experience developing, automating, and optimizing live streaming workflows and processes
Exceptional communication skills
Ability to make quick, effective decisions under tight deadlines
High level of computer literacy and technical aptitude
Strong technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to provide quick, effective solutions
Ensures high-quality, flawless execution in every aspect of technical production
Strong understanding of video and audio production gear and workflows, including emerging technology
Education & Experience
5+ years of hands-on experience in live production and studio environments, with a strong focus on operating and managing production equipment (e.g., video switchers, audio consoles, video routers, cameras, lighting equipment, video conferencing systems, etc.)
1+ year of experience in post-production tasks, including editing, graphics creation, and audio mixing using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Pro Tools)
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Music and Audio Production, Broadcast Technology, Communications, or a related discipline is preferred
Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification is preferred
