ManpowerGroup Sourcing Manager IV in Sunnyvale, California

Our client, a leading technology company, is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager (GSM) to join their team. As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will be part of the Procurement team supporting vendor management and procurement of technical support and services. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, superb communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to make quick decisions and solve complex problems with 80% information, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Drive strategic engagements with software vendors, industry analysis, license structuring/ re-structuring, negotiation and management, and procurement of technical support and services.

  • Work with stakeholder teams to develop deep understanding of their technical and functional needs and to design the right business model to meet them.

  • Work under critical project deadlines and towards cost reduction.

  • Effectively work with suppliers in China to negotiate optimal terms for sourcing. Understand the trade-offs between cost, volume, and quality to strike agreements that meet Apple’s performance criteria and secure long-term supply continuity.

  • Collaborate across the organization to ensure business objectives are met. Includes the ability to rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to senior leaders and to actively identify potential supply issues that can affect product strategy.

What's Needed?

  • 8+ Years of applicable experience

  • Experience working in Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field

  • Passion and demonstrated skill in negotiations

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills, including executive presentations
