Actalent Water Resources Engineer in Sunrise, Florida

Perform civil engineering work in water and wastewater treatment facilities and conveyance infrastructure, focusing on site design project components including site layout, yard piping, roadways, paving and grading, and stormwater infrastructure. Work on engineering planning and design projects, and perform conceptual and preliminary design activities including site visits, overseeing fieldwork, alternatives analysis, and report preparation. Develop civil engineering plans and specifications, prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects, and prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables. Review contractor submittals for conformance with contract plans and specifications, and evaluate requests for information. Participate in field activities such as pilot testing, permitting, and alternative analysis. Assist project managers with permitting submittals for treatment facilities and infrastructure projects including coordination with various governmental agencies. Participate in field activities and site reconnaissance.

Essential Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
2 to 12 years of directly relevant experience in civil engineering
Registration as a Professional Engineer or EIT
Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
Experience with local utility codes and utility permitting process
Ability to review plans and specifications against local codes
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel

-Site visits once a week or once every two weeks or as needed basis.
-Hybrid environment
-Can sit in any of their offices in the Tri-County area.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.07 - $55.30/hr.
