JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21350 TITLE: #25-13: Director of BSN Program - Health and Human Performance POSITION: Director of BSN Program - Assistant or Associate Professor of Nursing, FA040 or FA030, 12-month appointment - 100% during the academic year and no less than 50% summer appointment Faculty tenure track, Renewable, one vacancy. This position is eligible for hybrid work consideration. Currently eligibility requires residency in one of the following states: Wisconsin or Minnesota upon hire. POSITION SUMMARY: UW-Superior seeks a visionary founding Program Director of Nursing to launch an innovative RN-to-BSN degree completion program, in partnership with the Universities of Wisconsin Office of Online & Professional Learning Resources BSN@Home Collaborative Program. The Program Director is a faculty member responsible for the leadership and administration of the nursing program (situated within the UW-Superior Department of Health and Human Performance), coordinating with the BSN@Home Steering Committee, and with established regional educational and employment partners. The director will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing curriculum, ensure compliance with accreditation standards, manage faculty and staff, and support student success. The director will also have a recurring teaching role in this program. The role requires strong collaborative leadership, strategic planning, and a commitment to excellence in nursing education. The founding Program Director will lead this new program (in collaboration with the BSN@Home Collaborative Program) through to implementation, providing administrative and strategic direction for nursing education and leading the nursing program through significant growth initiatives, including professional accreditation and State Board approval. JOB DUTIES: Leadership and Administration: Provide leadership and strategic direction for the nursing program. Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of the program\'s curriculum to ensure alignment with current nursing standards, best practices, and the goals of the BSN@Home Collaborative Program. Develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure program quality and compliance with accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies. Curriculum and Program Development: Lead the continuous assessment and revision of the curriculum to maintain relevance and rigor. Collaborate with faculty to integrate innovative teaching strategies, simulation, and technology into the curriculum. Ensure program adherence to state board of nursing and accreditation standards. Faculty and Staff Management: Work within the UW-Superior Department of Health and Human Performance to recruit, mentor, and evaluate nursing faculty and staff to ensure a high-quality educational experience for students. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that supports faculty development and scholarship. Student Success and Support: Periodically teach courses as needed in the program. Provide academic advising to students enrolled in the BSN program. Develop and implement strategies to enhance student recruitment, retention, and graduation rates. Accreditation and Compliance: Ensure that the nursing program maintains accreditation by meeting or exceeding the standards set by accrediting bodies such as the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Community and Professional Engagement: Represent the nursing program in the community, including partnerships with educational partners, healthcare organizations, advisory boards, and professional associations. Develop and maintain relationships with regional healthcare sites to support student practicum and capstone placements. Participate in institutional governance and serve on committees as needed. Doctoral degree in Nursing or a related field (e.g. PhD, DNP, or EdD). Knowledge of learning principles for adult education, including nursing curriculum development. Current knowledge of nursing practice. Either of the following DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE: One year experience with online and/or hybrid education delivery models. Leadership or administrative experience in a nursing education program. Strong understanding of accreditation standards and regulatory requirements in nursing education, particularly with the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
