Cyber-sovereignty is an emerging product area that reflects customer and government demand for isolated and controlled cloud environments that continue to yield the manageability and feature benefits of the public cloud. We are hiring SDE2 with experience and expertise in designing and delivering solutions using modern software engineering practices and cloud technologies. You will be working side-by-side with engineers to build innovative solutions for our big government sovereign environments to guarantee the high quality of different M365 services and the whole M365 cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other teams on finding elegant solutions to complex problems.

  • Design, implement and test new features in existing and new services.

  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, enforce best practices and quality improvements.

  • Drive product vision, suggest and implement innovative features and approaches.

  • Monitor live services and perform service operations in Production.

  • Follow and improve code quality, performance, testability, and documentation requirements.

  • Debug and fix issues, ensure the overall quality of the software.

Qualifications

R equired Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Passion for building reliable and well-tested services.

  • Global collaboration is integral to our work at Microsoft. Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication in this role.

  • Cloud and services experience, with Azure cloud experience.

  • Experience with capacity scaling related work.

  • Full-stack tech skills.
