Job Title: Header Set Up Operator

Job Description

Set up, operate, and maintain Header machines to produce manufactured products that meet quality standards. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of various machines and tooling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Header machines, including Nakashimada, National, and Waterbury 2 blow machines.

• Maintain and troubleshoot Header machines to ensure they function properly.

• Use measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers to ensure product quality.

• Sharpen, select, and develop tooling needs.

• Read and interpret blueprints, process sheets, and other technical documents.

• Assist in other areas such as sorting or shipping when necessary.

• Operate drill presses and other machinist tools and equipment.

Essential Skills

• 1+ years of experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting Header machines.

• 1+ years of experience using measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.

• 1+ years of tooling experience, including sharpening tools and selecting proper tools.

• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, safety rules, and operating instructions.

• Proficiency in basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work with close tolerances.

• Experience with computer systems used in manufacturing environments.

• Familiarity with manual machines and willingness to get hands-on with grease and tools.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00
