The Amazon Customer Excellence System (ACES) team in Australia is seeking an enthusiastic and data-driven Program Manager to contribute to the improvement and growth of the AU Operations network. Program Managers (PMs) at Amazon anticipate bottlenecks and balance business needs versus technical constraints to move projects forward quickly. They understand business and customer needs, define the product roadmap, take large complex business requirements and break them down into manageable projects, write functional specifications and then deliver them in a successful and timely manner. They thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and are not hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.
Key job responsibilities
Some of the key job functions are:
Manage projects of new initiative, coordinating with diverse teams such as Product, Tech, Business, and Operations teams.
Establishing and tracking program goals, business metrics, and indicators for success.
Defining and scoping projects by working closely with business customers to understand their needs and priorities along with internal and competitive information into clear, prioritized requirements.
Leading and coordination of design/implementation efforts between internal teams and external customers and/or partners.
Driving user story brainstorming, review, and clarification sessions with ops. engineering teams to deliver maximum customer value with available time constraints and resources.
Working with internal teams and customers to perform deep data driven analysis of businesses to surface actionable insights and product requirements
Deep diving on key architectural components; discuss, debate and influence technical teams on system design
Management and delivery of projects with the highest levels of performance, reliability, usability and customer delight
Identification and prioritization of projects with an understanding of tradeoffs and impact
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Program or Project Manager, with a track record of successfully launching new programs from the ground up.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesise data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience bringing together diverse teams to achieve shared objectives.
Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and demonstrated ability to drive progress independently.
Experience in leveraging data to drive business impact and partner experience.
Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a related industry.
Demonstrated ability to influence and drive alignment among a diverse set of stakeholders and teams.
Ability to think strategically and creatively whilst also executing operationally with high attention to detail.
