Syracuse University Administrative Assistant in Syracuse, New York

The Administrative Assistant in the Dean's Office is the primary receptionist and provides comprehensive support. Reporting to the Dean's Executive Assistant, this position manages essential office functions including calendar scheduling, travel arrangements, & listserv maintenance. The role includes coordinating hospitality for guests & special events & maintaining a welcoming environment.

The position involves significant responsibility for special projects, supporting industry partnerships & engagement initiatives. This includes coordinating with sport industry executives, assisting with partnership development materials, & helping maintain relationships with key stakeholders in professional sports organizations, sports media, & athletic organizations. The Administrative Assistant manages guest engagement by coordinating accommodations, campus tours, & welcome materials for visiting industry partners, dignitaries, & faculty candidates.

The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, & the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Strong communication skills are essential, as this position serves as a key liaison between the Dean's Office & various stakeholders including industry partners, faculty, students, & external constituents.

This position is part of a bargaining unit and is represented by the union SEIU, Local 200United.
