Syracuse University Assistant Director of BIPOC Student Success in Syracuse, New York

The Assistant Director of BIPOC Student Success is responsible for the WellsLink Leadership Program which engages first and second-year students, in a comprehensive curriculum designed to enhance their leadership and critical thinking skills.

The position supervises the Coordinator of 113 Euclid, Coordinator of Barner McDuffie House, Coordinator of mentoring programs, and graduate/undergraduate student employees assigned to both WellsLink and Dimensions. This role also assists the Associate Director in providing creative leadership that enriches a diverse campus culture and results in the students’ academic, social, and personal success.

Additionally, the incumbent works with students, faculty, professional staff, and community resources to develop and administer a wide range of programs and services that support student retention and promote belonging and inclusion, with an emphasis on supporting students from disadvantaged and underrepresented populations. This position also assists the in evaluation and assessment initiatives and oversees all departmental social media platforms.
