95% remote job but you must be a resident of New York State.

Chris Preble is working with a Syracuse based client of his that has a remote job. You only have to go into the office about once a month. This is a newly created position due to growth. Benefits here are very good and you'll start with 4 weeks of vacation!

Responsibilities

• General Ledger Management:

• Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate records in the general ledger.

• Post journal entries and ensure proper documentation.

Financial Reporting:

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Support the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

• Process vendor invoices and payments, ensuring proper approvals and compliance with company policies.

• Monitor accounts receivable, issue invoices, and follow up on outstanding balances.

Month-End and Year-End Close:

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and adjustments.

• Support the preparation of schedules for audits and tax filings.

Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain accurate financial documentation and records for audit purposes.

  Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Ability to prepare and document Journal Entries.

• Experience with Month End Close procedures.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
