Hidden Level Systems Engineer in Syracuse, New York
Position Overview:
Hidden Level is transforming airspace safety with innovative, scalable drone detection and airspace technology. We provide real-time, actionable data to enhance security across various environments. We're looking for a Systems Engineer who will apply their skills to advance internal product development and aid in customer integration and adoption activities. This will be achieved through the analysis and support of sensor systems at each stage in the product lifecycle from conceptualization to deployment and maintenance.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the evolution and development of new cutting-edge sensor technology:
Work in a small, dedicated team passionate about solving challenging problems and delivering results
Support derivation and documentation of system requirements using input from varying technical disciplines
Assist in the development of system architectures for new hardware and software designs
Design and develop algorithms and analysis methods and tools for radar, direction finding, or other surveillance sensor systems
Organize and participate in design and code reviews
Play an active role in the verification and validation of hardware and software platforms:
Weigh in on the planning and design of live test events both internal and external
Provide hands-on in-field support for the test of surveillance sensor systems
Develop methods and tools to analyze and evaluate radar and surveillance sensor system performance
Author test reports and draw data-driven conclusions and recommendations based on test results

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
0-5 years of professional experience
A working knowledge of:
Radar and/or communication systems
Sensor performance modeling and simulation
Digital signal processing
Analytical programming platforms such as MATLAB or Python
Ability to travel 10%.
This position is located in the Syracuse, NY office with the potential for hybrid arrangements.
Compensation and Benefits: Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, and disability insurance. The company also provides a remote or hybrid work environment and potential stock options.
Salary Range : The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $78,000 to $106,000 annually. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Hidden Level considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
