Key Responsibilities
Primary HR resource in Taiwan and support two online stations: TPE and KHH. Assists in the administration of personnel programs including such areas as Human Resources Services, Personnel Services, Compensation and Benefits, and Employee Relations, or other related personnel functions. Provides assistance and guidance to line and staff management in the interpretation of personnel policies and procedures to assure consistent application. Analyzes personnel programs, policies and procedures and recommends changes to improve their effectiveness. Develops and provides personnel data information surveys and reports and assists in project assignments as requested. Contributes to employee engagement through communication and recognition.
• Compensation and Benefits: support and administration of wages and salaries, labor and group insurance; supports overseas assignees and taxation issues; NHI, LPA and LSA administration and reporting; support corporate incentive, recognition, and travel programs
• Recruitment-Retention-Separation: support all recruitment and hiring practices including internship programs, new employee orientation, training activities, promotions and transfers, and exit processes for redundancies, resignations, retirements, terminations; administration of staff contracts; upkeep of personnel files and PeopleSoft
• Employee Relations and Recognition: facilitate bi-annual employee programs; member of employee welfare committee, retirement committee, labor safety and health committee; participates in quarterly employee roundtables and country councils; and represents HR in station and IPA meetings
• Consultation and Advisory Services: support and counsel to management and employees on local labor law and legal standards, company policies and procedures, conduct and performance issues
This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• 2-4 years in human resources
• Familiar with Local Labor Laws
• Must be legally authorized to work in Taiwan for any employer without sponsorship
• Must be fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken)
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
