Position Overview and Responsibilities

This is a highly responsible position within the Office of FX Program Administration (FXPA) in the Executive and External Relations Team. This position plays a key role supporting FX governance and planning, producing, and executing all internal executive and external FX communications, strategy, and outreach efforts. Key responsibilities for this position include:

Governance Support:

  • Support FX executive and external governance program activities to ensure these are completed timely and according to the FX Governance Plan (S-1).

  • Plan, create, prepare, coordinate, and collaborate with stakeholders on governance-related matters and materials.

    Communications:

  • Plan, create, align, coordinate, or edit executive and external messages and materials for publishing or distribution.

  • Monitor and report on progress toward governance and external strategy initiatives.

    Strategic Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Develop, maintain, and execute a cross-functional executive communication strategy and plan that builds brand awareness and perception, fosters external engagement and trust, and establishes clear messaging around executive priority initiatives and business decisions.

  • Manage and respond accurately, efficiently, and effectively to incoming requests from stakeholders

    Complete other duties (e.g., attending Agency & FX required meetings, trainings, etc.) and special projects as assigned.

    This position will be located on-site in the FX Office in Tallahassee, FL.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of or experience working in a political or governmental setting.

  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and communicate insights effectively.

  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with project management tools (such as Microsoft Project) and Adobe Professional to create branded visuals and documentation for the effective communication of FX’s purpose and objectives.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build consensus and influence decision-making through multiple mediums, primarily verbally and in writing.

  • Effectively translate executive decisions into actionable plans and coordinate effective and efficient work assignments.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and responsibilities.

  • Ability to organize data into logical formats for presentation in reports.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

  • Commitment to integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

  • Ability to travel with or without accommodations.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years experience with stakeholder management and/or engagement.

  • A minimum 2 years experience curating information and creating elevated executive and/or external messaging and communications.

    Preferences

  • Preference will be given to applicants with a bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Communications or related field and two years of relevant professional experience or four years of relevant professional experience in lieu of degree.

  • Preference will be given to applicants who have served in a project management office or as a project administrator, have proven communications/marketing experience, and/or have experience in government political developments and legislation to inform decision-making.
