Job Description : The Lead Mechanic performs advanced level preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all packaging equipment and systems. This role includes conducting line changeovers and mechanical set-up of all equipment in accordance with the packaging schedule. Additionally, the Lead Mechanic provides direction and training to other staff members and performs technical and specialized mechanical set-up duties.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and state, federal, and local laws.

• Conduct required monthly preventative maintenance on all packaging equipment.

• Perform troubleshooting and repairs of packaging and processing equipment, and mechanical and control systems.

• Perform scheduled and other maintenance of all packaging equipment and execute specialized and critical repairs.

• Perform packaging line set-ups and changeovers as needed.

Qualifications:

• Troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience with aseptic techniques, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

• Proficiency in preventive maintenance and repair of industrial equipment.

• Experience with PLC troubleshooting, wiring, and industrial maintenance.

• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and use tools such as voltmeters.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00/yr.
