MUFG Corporate Banking Operations Manager in Tampa, Florida

The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Managing the verification, execution, and closing of complex loan transactions, including, but not limited to; new deals, refinancing, amendments, acquisition financings, and re-pricings. Supervising the work of a team of 6-8 Corporate Banking Middle Office employees (Operations Analysts and Corporate Banking Operations Assistant Vice Presidents) who primarily perform loan closing functions, as well as settlement limit controls for Market products. Performing oversight of Vendor support teams with existing relationships that exist in support functions for MUFG Middle Office processes. Staffing organizational units including recruiting, interviewing, selecting, hiring, and promoting employees in an organization. Providing guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance. Developing objectives and strategies including establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them. Actively leading projects and providing valuable input with various working groups, with the goal to continually enhance performance and efficiency. Covering loan products (syndicated loans, uncommitted financing, Supply Chain Finance, Bifurcated Loans, and Letters of Credit) including interpreting credit agreements and corporate credit documentation and coordinating loan funding compliance and regulatory controls. Managing training and oversight of Operational compliance with JFSA guidelines. Covering products for Day Light Overdraft, Uncommitted Loan exposure, Cash Pooling, ACH, and Market Control for FX Swaps and Derivative Settlement Limits. Managing control design and Operational Risk, while coordinating testing and audit support for second and third line compliance and audit divisions in a Bank regulatory environment. Utilizing in-depth knowledge of Banking Regulations and Standard Practices. Periodically reviewing/enhancing the relevant procedures to ensure appropriate control and consistency with Head Office guidelines and bank regulations. Ensuring adherence to all bank policies and procedures relative to Regulatory Compliance including but not limited to JFSA Guidelines, the Bank Secrecy Act, Flood Disaster Protection Act, USA Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering Act, Privacy Act, Regulations U, W, Q & X, Customer Due Diligence, Know Your Customer, and Suspicious Activity Reports. Performing training and oversight of Analysts and Assistant Vice Presidents (AVPs), with a focus on loan documentation requirements; Legal, Credit, and Regulatory approvals, as per Bank policy.

Qualifications – External

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Any field (or foreign equivalent degree).

Experience: 3 years of experience covering loan products (syndicated loans, uncommitted financing, Supply Chain Finance, Bifurcated Loans, and Letters of Credit) including interpreting credit agreements and corporate credit documentation and coordinating loan funding compliance and regulatory controls; managing training and oversight of Operational compliance with JFSA guidelines; covering products for Day Light Overdraft, Uncommitted Loan exposure, Cash Pooling, ACH, and Market Control for FX Swaps and Derivative Settlement Limits; and managing control design and Operational Risk, while coordinating testing and audit support for second and third line compliance and audit divisions in a Bank regulatory environment.

Travel: This position may require up to 15% domestic travel.

Other: Position requires employment in-office 4 days per week and remotely 1 day per week.

Wage: $109,949 to $163,000 U.S. dollars per year
