Job Title : Commercial Electrician (START ASAP)
Job Summary : The Commercial Electrician will oversee the daily production of electricians and helpers on commercial projects, ensuring all electrical installations and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and safely. This role involves installing wire and bending conduit, interpreting blueprints, and reviewing electrical codes specific to commercial buildings. The Commercial Electrician will ensure safety equipment, materials, and tools are on-site, effectively communicate with clients on-site, track project progress, and maintain timekeeping for all employees on-site.
Responsibilities :
Supervision and Coordination:
Oversee the daily production and activities of electricians and helpers on commercial job sites.
Assign tasks and provide guidance to team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce safety protocols specific to commercial environments.
Installation and Maintenance :
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in commercial buildings.
Bend and install conduit, ensuring all installations meet commercial electrical codes and standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in commercial settings promptly.
Blueprints and Codes :
Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams for commercial projects.
Review and ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes applicable to commercial buildings.
Site Management :
Ensure all necessary safety equipment, materials, and tools are available on commercial job sites.
Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
Client Communication :
Effectively communicate with clients on-site to address concerns and provide updates on commercial projects.
Collaborate with other contractors and stakeholders to ensure project coordination.
Timekeeping and Documentation :
Maintain accurate timekeeping records for all employees on-site.
Document all work performed and maintain detailed records of installations and repairs.
Qualifications :
Proven experience as a commercial electrician.
Valid electrician's license.
Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, blueprints, and codes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Physical stamina and dexterity.
Work Environment :
This position involves working in various commercial environments, including office buildings, retail spaces, and industrial sites.
The role may require working in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying weather conditions.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00
