ManpowerGroup Senior Data Engineer – SQLs run on Hive/IMPALA DB in Tampa, Florida
Role: Senior Data Engineer – OTC Derivatives, Market Data Controls and Big Data
Location: Tampa, FL (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)
Position type: 12 months with high possibility of extension/Conversion as FTE
Pay rate between $88 - $93/hr on W2 (All inclusive)
Panel interview - candidates should be prepared to share screens to do technical coding assignment
Job Description:
• Strong domain knowledge on OTC derivatives and markets.
• 7+ years of experience in IT and data base/data warehouse domain
• Experience in writing SQL in Hive, Impala
• Strong SQL skills are essential; experience writing complex queries spanning multiple tables is required.
• Working knowledge of performance tuning of database queries (understanding the inner working of the query optimizer, query plans, indexes, partitions etc.).
• Exposure to scripting language like shell scripting, python is required.
• Experience with FpML is a plus.
Responsibilities:
The resource will be involved in working on implementation and governance of Controls on markets data on Cloudera/big data platform.
Working with source systems that publish transactions to Cloudera data platform and perform RCA on controls failed.
Day to day activity would involve working extensively on complex SQLs that are run on Hive/IMPALA DB
Running data analysis on controls implemented, issues identified and implement fixes.
