Job Description
The IT Product Owner is responsible for product strategy, and providing direction and leadership. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the development of product roadmaps, product plans, strategies, and tactics while coordinating product lines through product life-cycles in coordination with the broader Product Management team. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the rollout of products to new groups, increase adoption. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Responsibilities:
As a product owner responsible for product strategy, providing direction, leadership and stakeholder management. Initiate the development process, documents project scope, product vision, prioritizes user stories, sets feature level priorities conducts demos and walkthroughs
Responsible for the development of product roadmap and plans. Manage the strategic product development and/or existing product enhancement roadmap as well as program development including program rollout and marketing to gain maximum benefit from each business supported
Day-to-day management of individual project responsibilities including milestone setting, task and actions management, co-ordination and execution of plan within required timelines and to stakeholder quality expectations.
Holds themselves and Business Analysts accountable for writing stories/tasks that meet the Definition of Ready
Drive alignment of peer Product teams and coordinates with / understands Stakeholder priorities to act as the voice of the customer
Create, prioritize, and maintain a product backlog
Performs/oversees user acceptance testing to identify and remedy defects and approves final testing results
Has relevant Finance business and data expertise with sufficient technology knowledge.
Identify key project risks/issues and manage to resolution or escalate accordingly
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members
Foster and maintain relationships with business stakeholders, support, testing and development team members
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
6+ years of relevant experience in IT Product Management focused on Data.
5+ years experience in Data analysis and working on enterprise applications.
5+ years experience with enterprise business architecture
5+ years experience in Project Management
5+ years experience in Change Management incl master reference data design principles and related metadata
5+ yeas experience as Product owner and detailed understanding of latest data technologies and solutions towards how they can help solve for next generation business needs.
3+ yeas of enterprise Data Taxonomy
3+ years experience in Agile technologies
Comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas within technology
Experience leading cross-functional team to define and achieve high value business goals
Demonstrated experience driving business innovation, leveraging management information, and data analytics to drive results
Diverse functional experience (e.g. Finance business, product development, analytics)
Strong experience in understanding data models and being able to analyze data.
Experience using tools statistical modeling
Experience in Finance data sources and finance business knowledge must.
Demonstrated knowledge of product development, financial acumen, and investment processes across asset classes
Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
Demonstrated analytical and influencing skills
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
Bachelors/University degree or equivalent work experience

$113,840.00 - $170,760.00
