Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant in TARRYTOWN, New York. This role operates within the industry, requiring the successful candidate to handle a variety of accounting functions. You will be working in a dynamic work environment where you will be responsible for tasks such as reconciling accounts, creating journal entries, and responding to customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Handle monthly deposit, credit card, and checking accounts reconciliation

• Assist with general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly basis

• Conduct weekly exports of Payment Gateway and Settlement reports

• Create journal entries for miscellaneous transactions, deposits, wire transfers, and others as needed

• Oversee the import of journal entries from Ticketing and Retail Sales Systems on a monthly basis

• Assist in Monthly and Quarterly Sales Tax Filing

• Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries received by the Ticketing Department

• Monitor and manage chargebacks, including submitting responses

• Investigate and address any discrepancies in the accounting books

• Perform other accounting-related duties as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required

• Must possess a solid understanding of Accounting Functions

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Auditing skills are crucial for this role

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or related field

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Professional certification such as CPA is a plus.
