Job Description

You will be working on heavy industrial parts for dump trucks and ultimately building them from the ground up. This includes safely and efficiently troubleshooting and installing mechanical components on dump trucks and trailers.

Responsibilities

  • Install mechanical components on dump trucks and trailers

  • Troubleshoot and install air systems and operations

  • Perform basic welding tasks

  • Install consoles and pumps

  • Handle hydraulics and pneumatics

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of experience with electric and hydraulic connection/plumbing

  • Basic understanding of air systems and operations

  • 1+ year of MIG welding experience

  • Experience with installation on consoles

  • 6+ months of pump installation experience

  • 2+ years of large assembly installation experience (e.g., tanks, saddles)

  • 1+ year of electrical troubleshooting (24V)

  • Blueprint reading

  • Mechanical assembly skills

  • Proficiency with hand and power tools

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

  • Experience working on dump trucks

  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a mechanical field with hydraulic system repairs (including pump valves, cylinders, etc.)

  • Comfortable with electrical troubleshooting

  • Wrenching experience

  • Comfortable using power tools, pneumatic wrenches, grinders, air tools, etc.

  • Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds at times

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, Arizona

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
