Amazon Senior Program Manager, AMZL Central Operations in Tempe, Arizona

Description

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is hiring a Senior Program Manager to drive new initiatives and program launches for the AMZL North America Central Operations Team. The Senior Program Manager will be a key member of strategic initiatives that will continue to improve last-mile processes to scale for rapidly increasing volume and complexity within the Amazon Shipping (SWA) and Reverse Logistics pickup programs.

Key job responsibilities

The Senior Program Manager will be the owner of key initiatives for the Central Operations Pickup program team (SWA and RSL). Role will revolve around strategic planning for programs, processes, and automation efforts revolving improvements in both the Driver and Shipper on-road experience. You will work with data and processes, to develop workable solutions and convey findings to leadership and stakeholders and gain alignment on proposed solutions. As a part of the SWA/Counters team, you will set up robust processes for deployment, oversee execution and determine high quality output through structured quality control processes in alignment with several stakeholders.

A day in the life

This role will lead building tools, processes and automated solutions that address complex network-wide problems and create long term sustainable solutions for AMZL. The role has a strategy and execution flavor consuming upstream inputs and providing on road support for downstream partners.

About the team

Central Operations (CO) is the nerve center for AMZL last mile operations. Program managers in CO utilize their centralized perspective to identify opportunities, facilitating conversations amongst stakeholders and driving resolution.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with inventory management, quality control, and process optimization

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
