Summary
As a member of the Server Management team, the selected candidate will play a key role in managing and maintaining windows server-based infrastructure.
This role requires the person to carefully plan, collaborate and communicate within and across departments in either maintaining existing infrastructure or implementing new server technologies.
Position requires self-motivated individuals that can proactively look for opportunities in improving systems reliability, security, and efficiency of SRP systems.
The candidate should have enterprise level experience in managing and supporting Windows Servers, Active Directory, Windows DNS, and System Center (SCCM) in a highly virtualized VMWare environment.
Experience with Azure cloud and exposure to Linux server support would be a plus.
What You'll Do
Perform day-to-day system administration for various system management tools used to manage enterprise environment.
Deploy, provision, manage and support servers in a hybrid environment (on-premises and cloud).
Lead departmental and cross-departmental projects related to the advancement and progression of the server environment.
Work closely with other IT infrastructure departments, including deployment, configuration, and maintenance of the software and hardware.
Monitor/maintain the health, performance, and stability of servers and services.
Automate operational tasks using scripting languages.
Perform advanced troubleshooting of servers experiencing performance issues.
Maintain security of server infrastructure, both physical and virtual, through active patching and upgrades of software and firmware.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for IT services and develop contingency plans for continued operation of critical business applications in the event of significant adverse events.
Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed.
Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation.
What It Takes To Succeed
Experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.
Active Directory Management (Domain Services, Certificate Services, Federation Services).
System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
Windows DNS Administration.
Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, subnetting, etc.).
Enterprise server hardware implementation and support (rack/stack, cabling, etc.).
Azure Cloud Services (IaaS, PaaS, Azure AD).
Scripting (PowerShell & Ansible).
Preference given to candidates with NERC CIP experience.

Experience
• For an associate level, a minimum of no previous years of experience to two years related experience plus a bachelor's degree is required. (If no degree, four-six years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling four years.) • For a journey level, a minimum of two years of experience to four years related experienced plus a bachelor's degree is required. (If no degree, six years-eight of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling six years.) • For a senior level, a minimum of five years of related experience plus a bachelor's degree is required. (If no degree, nine years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling nine years.)
Certifications (preferred)
MCSA: Windows Server
MCSE: Core Infrastructure
Microsoft Azure Administrator
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Comptia A+/Network+/Security+ ITIL
Education
A bachelor’s degree related to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
