Role Purpose:
Provides Corning Life Sciences with sustainable competitive advantage in Global Operations and Supply Chain Management. Defines and executes the division’s supply chain roadmap, ensuring optimization of all activities and support required for the delivery of products and services to customers and other business partners. Aligns supply chain capabilities to the current and future needs of the business and manufacturing. Primary areas include Supply Chain planning (service, inventory, supply, demand, capacity, and network), materials management, scheduling, procurement, and logistics operations (including transportation, warehousing, and distribution).
Key Responsibilities:
Works collaboratively with global operations, business teams and other resources to:
Define and communicate the division’s business strategy and alignroles and responsibilities to deliver.
Alignment to one demand/supply plan for internal manufacturing and external sourcing operations.
Manage and communicate global capacity models for capacity planning.
Aggregate global demand information and facilitate supply plans to internal and external operations.
Ensure alignment to the corporate Global Supply Management (GSM) function.
Develop and execute supply chain process node development between the corporation and division.
Defines, manages, and executes robust processes and systems required to enable business growth and profitability.
Partner with Business Teams & Commercial to improve forecast accuracy and bias.
Drives lean culture to ensure optimal end-to-end fulfillment; optimizes end-to-end flow of material, information, and cash.
Evaluates and recommends how to optimize the global capacity to meet global customer needs, program requirements, and delivery goals.
Champions and advocates the SIOP / IBP and inventory management, driving one plan for the division.
Maximizes scalability and adaptability to change according to market and business needs.
Identifies, standardizes, and deploys functional best practices across the globe, e.g., systems integration and optimization.
Supports talent development and movement across divisions.
Optimizes a global supply chain/logistics network across all divisional distribution sites. Use of network optimization tools and processes.
Utilizes standardized approach to “where to make vs. where to buy” decisions
Ensures the focus on Data Integrity by managing and governing master data.
Ensures all business relationships follow appropriate corporate policy and governance requirements (contract, payment terms & pricing)
Ensures business complies with global trade compliance regulations.
Champions and advocates for the Global Buying Policy.
Champions and advocates for Supply Chain Social Responsibility and broader Sustainability efforts.
Develops, owns, and communicates key metrics to achieve Service, Cost and Cash goals and objectives.
Partner with the business leadership to develop and enable breakthrough supply chain strategies.
Drives understanding of data from global and regional demand, to supply build, and material availability; resulting in accurate revenue forecasts based on future product availability.
Works closely with manufacturing leaders and facilities to direct appropriate production plans and material purchases.
Experiences/Education:
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree (Technical, Business, or Supply Chain) required.
Minimum 12-15 years of operations & supply chain management experience in progressively senior positions across multiple functions.
Experience leading global teams, including matrix assignments.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to lead the development and deployment of a strategy.
Travel as necessary.
Plus:
Master’s in Business, Supply Chain Management or Engineering.
CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management), CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), CLTD (Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution), or other non-APICS equivalent certification.
Global work experience, e.g., working across regions and cultures.
LEAN or Six Sigma Certification or equivalent experience.
Experience across multiple businesses, divisions, services, functions, and/or technologies.
Experience in a growing business and a mature business.
Digital Aptitude and Competency- develops and deploys new digital capabilities with minimal instruction.
Plant/operations experience.
Travel Requirements: up to 25%
Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:
- Standard business hours; Monday – Friday.

The range for this position is $194,454.00 - $267,374.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
