Job Description

A corporate legal clerk is primarily responsible for processing a high volume of legal invoices, along with supporting additional functions and special projects for the Corporate Legal and Compliance Department. A corporate legal clerk reviews vendor invoices, assigns billing codes, obtains internal approvals and inputs data into company billing system. A corporate legal clerk may be required to draft expense reports for the General Counsel and the Corporate Legal and Compliance Department, and complete billing functions including entries into our company platform, Yooz.

This position may also provide support to paralegals including preparation of annual report filings, charting, fictitious business name statements, foreign qualifications, annual minutes, Form 4 filings and other corporate maintenance actions and duties as needed.

This person will also support and take direction from Teledyne’s General Counsel, its Associate General Counsel, its Chief Intellectual Property Counsel and its Corporate and Intellectual Property paralegals on various matters, and special projects.

It is important for a corporate legal administrative clerk to maintain strict confidentiality of all company billing matters. In addition to this, they must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to resolve issues effectively, and handle requests that come through regarding corrections is also important.

A successful candidate for this position would have a career path interest in developing into a Paralegal, maintaining document databases, drafting documents, organizing data for government agencies and assisting internal and external counsel with case preparation.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Access)

High level of professionalism and confidentiality

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

Hours are generally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., although some evening and weekend time may be required at peak times.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Associate’s Degree or equivalent preferred. 3-5 years of experience in a law office, corporate legal or accounting department.

Notary Public Commission (preferred but not required)

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

U.S. Person for access to ITAR-Controlled Technical Data.

Salary Range:

$49,830.00-$66,550.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
