Pipe Layer Laborer

Job Description

The pipe layer laborer is responsible for helping pipe layers install underground pipes for utilities such as water, sewage, and gas. The ideal candidate will have a desire to learn the trade and work towards becoming a journeyman pipe layer.

Hard Skills

• General labor for underground utilities construction

• Help measure, cut, and lay pipes in the trenches, ensuring they are properly aligned and connected

• Help seal joints between pipes to prevent leaks, using appropriate materials and techniques

• Work with other construction crew members such as machine operators and helpers to ensure the project progresses smoothly and safely

• Adhere to safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe work environment

Soft Skills

• Desire to learn the pipe laying trade

• Dependability

• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions

• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure pipes are laid correctly and securely

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Thousand Oaks, California.

Work Environment

7am-3:30 with some OT expected. Well-qualified candidates will start working earlier in Woodland Hills, then move to Thousand Oaks in October when another project begins.
