Thermo Fisher Scientific develops scientific software products like Thermo Fisher Connect, scientific file management, and scientific algorithm execution. They address needs such as instrument remote monitoring, experiment file transfer, remote instrument service/support, remote commands, and real-time experiment alerts.

What will you do?
In this role, you will develop and enhance Digital Foundational Software products. Maintain a consistent user experience by adhering to Thermo Fisher UI/UX guidelines. Be involved in all stages of the software creation process, including requirement analysis, design, implementation, and testing.

Ability to participate in, and complete technical assignments independently.
Active participation in scrum ceremonies including daily standups, story grooming, sprint planning, and sprint reviews.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Efficient software implementation, unit test cases, code reviews, and integration testing
Proactive approach with a focus on identifying ways to continuously automate feature testing and establish measurable goals.
How will you get here?
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering with 3 + years of experience preferred
or Master’s in computer science or engineering with 2 + years of experience preferred.
Experience
Fair understanding of object-oriented principles, design patterns, and data structures
Experience developing Restful APIs in micro-services architecture using Java/J2EE technologies.
Python programming language experience (Plus)
Proficiency in software development including UI frameworks like Angular in Linux environments
Understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Open Source Large Language Model is an advantage.
Ability to understand functional stories and generate test scenarios when required.
Knowledge of CI/CD frameworks such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
Familiarity with at least one public cloud service
Understanding of Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) including Security, Performance, and Cost
Knowledge of containerization and deployment on Kubernetes
