About the role

As a CBRE Health, Safety, Security and Environment Manager, you will assist in the management of Environmental Health and Safety programs relative to a specific account or market area.

This job is part of the Environment Health, Safety and Security function. They are responsible to follow and support for organizational programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities

  • Support all training and continuous improvement activities and assist in the development & / or delivery of HSE training, such as Road Safety and Ergonomics.

· Aid in maintaining specific plans, playbooks, and procedures for the assigned account or market area,followingcertain playbooks are current, complete, and implemented.

· Observe opportunities to reduce costs while enhancing the quality of services.

· Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.

· Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.

· Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.

· Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams

  • energy efficiency, recycling programs and environment initiatives

Environment

· Support to Establish, develop and maintain a relationship with:

o ClientFacility Manager, Procurement and Road Safety Chair - Sustainability Program implementation

o Each GBU – Road Safety

o Medical Room, HR, Wellbeing Taskforce – Employee health

o IA site–Over all Sanofi Japan HSE issue

Facility Management

· Support forMedical Room operation and Contract management

· Road Safety Program and support Road Safety Chair

  • Proceed with regular Car Fleet audits and monitor corrective action plans

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of the role are to;

  • Communication management

  • Create and nurture on-site Client and stakeholder relations.

  • Report to line manager which are JapanSiteLead

  • Incident management for Japan

  • Attend and manage critical incidents related to property assets which may cause business interruption to client. This includes attendance outside of normal working hours at any time requested by the client

  • Work with JapanSitelead to manage incidents

  • Operation management

  • Comply with all requirements of the contract and meet or exceed Key Performance Indicator (KPIs)

  • Be responsible for the service delivery and accountable of the quality of services delivered

  • Create an environment that drives continuous improvement and innovation, and a risk conscious culture to ensure risk identification and mitigation.

  • ManageHSE support and Security serviceoperation

  • Develop and update budget including sustainment plans in a timely manner

  • Supervise the vendors’ work on the ground (as necessary)

  • Through the daily site work, proactively identify and resolve issues, maintain the facility in perfect condition.

  • Ensure that all vendor staffmembersare trained to respond to critical situations.

o Identify business and operational risk assessments, work plans and procedures necessary to mitigate against disruption to services during maintenance, repair or upgrade works to the critical systems and assets at the site.

  • Ensure all works are completed to relevant Statutory Regulations and Standards.

  • Operate in a manner that will minimize any adverse environmental impacts associated with their activities

  • Ensure subcontractor perform in accordance with agreed scope of works and provide regular reporting.

  • Ensure all contractors are site inducted & on-boarded on to the client systems and training is up to date.

  • Report management

  • Document and report to the relevant stakeholders any assets related issues.

o Prepare monthly performance scorecards, monthly review decks and present to the client on monthly basis. These meetings may, occasionally be scheduled outside of normal business hours and attendance is required.

  • Finance overview

  • Budgets are maintained and kept up to date and the necessary finance approvals are acquired.

  • Develop and update Budget/Forecast including sustainment forHSSE function

  • Procurement

  • Develop and update procurement strategy forHSSE function

  • Managing ordering and payment to subcontractors

  • HSE

  • Comply with all CBRE systems used to meet its health and safety obligations.

  • Work safely and not put themselves or anyone else’s health or safety at risk by their acts or omissions

  • Comply with the CBRE Environmental policies and adhere to procedures and work instructions that are relevant to their activities.

  • Support for relative audit for HSSE function

  • Ensure safety in the workplace

Qualifications and Technical Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • HSSE qualification as required by local government.

  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

  • Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
