Amgen Senior Manager of Observational Research in Tokyo, Japan
The Senior Manager of Observational Research at Amgen’s Center for Observational Research will lead our scientific efforts and enhance organizational capabilities in utilizing real-world evidence to support drug development, regulatory decisions, and improve patient outcomes in Japan.
The role is responsible for:
a) Leading research to advance development of investigational molecules
Design and conduct the studies that further understanding of disease natural history, facilitate the design of clinical trials, and evaluate safety and effectiveness of medicines
Demonstrate technical ability and creative thought for addressing methodological challenges
Conduct research to highest standards of the profession
b) Advancing Amgen’s core capabilities to conduct observational research
Collaborate with Amgen’s global network of epidemiologists and the academic community
Leverage and build upon available data resources and analytical capabilities
c) Engaging with key stakeholders
Coach and facilitate awareness for the appropriate use of observational research
Communicate scientific information to a variety of internal audiences, health authorities, and the scientific community
Qualifications:
PhD in epidemiology or a similar discipline, or an MD accompanied by a master’s degree in a field involving observational research
Record of publications in observational research
Strong English verbal and written communication skills
Three of more years of professional experience in Japan
