Job Description
Job Title: Mail Clerk/Expungement Intake Clerk
Minimum Requirements:
*Typing 35 WPM using correct keyboarding method
*High School diploma or equivalent
*Basic knowledge of FACTS System
*Experience in Legal System
*12 Continuous months of no discipline
*No more than 32 hours of sick time used without certification off inability to work by a duly licensed physician or medical authority.
*Have an overall performance and appearance rating of no less Than a 2 on their last employee performance evaluation.
Pay Scale: (applies to classified positions only)
*Beginning: Deputy Clerk class IV pay level Appropriate to seniority
*Ending: Deputy Clerk class JV pay level Appropriate to seniority
To perform the following duties:
*Weigh and attach postage to all certified and ordinary mail from general division, domestic relations, foreclosure and court of appeals using postage machine.
*Complete mail log sheets for certified, registered, and international mail and total postage.
*Run postage machine report monthly.
*Fill postage meter by phone, order money from Executive Assistant when needed.
*Gather all out-going mail and distribute throughout the day.
*Open all incoming mail and distribute throughout the day.
*Pickup interoffice mail from Government Center daily.
*Assist Clerk's office Courier with mail buckets when necessary.
*Responsible for doing all Expungement.
*Creating Expungement cases in FACTS case management system including restricting the case when expungement is granted.
*Notify all agencies involved in the case of the expungement being granted.
