Description

Position:Hotel Front Desk Representative

Reports to:Hotel Manager

FLSA Status:Non-Exempt

Position Summary:Responsible for representing the first point of contact with guests and handling all stages of a guest\'s stay. A typical day as a desk clerk, involves registering/booking guests in and out of their rooms, while accommodating any special requests.

Essential Duties:

  • Greets and welcomes guests.
  • Makes and confirms reservations.
  • Books guests in and out of rooms.
  • Issues room keys/cards.
  • Presents statements and collects payments for the guests stay.
  • Answers questions and address complaints.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
  • Customer service experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Understand and comply with Company and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Able to stand for extended periods of time.

  • Physical agility to bend, stoop, climb stairs, walk, reach and lift up to 25 pounds.
