Wage:22.00 - 24.00 $ per hour

Role's mission

This internship offers a unique and exciting opportunity for students and new graduates to gain hands-on experience in compensation management and HR operations. As a Total Rewards Intern, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to various impactful projects such as conducting market analysis to ensure competitive compensation, assisting in the development and maintenance of compensation structures, and ensuring compliance with compensation-related regulations. You will gain valuable insights into the world of HR, particularly in the areas of compensation strategy and implementation. As part of Colas Canada, your involvement in the projects will make you work on national/global level projects which will provide you a unique opportunity as a new member of the HR world.

Main Responsibilities

  • Job Description Management: Assist in organizing and formatting job descriptions at a national level.

  • Records Management: Audit and help locate missing documents and up to date records.

  • Offer Letter Review: Support the review of offer letters to ensure they meet company standards.

  • Global Projects: Participate in projects aimed at improving compensation practices globally.

  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance for compensation and benefits tasks.

  • Employee Support: Address employee questions related to compensation and benefits.

  • Data Management: Update and maintain compensation and benefits data.

  • Market Research: Assist in researching competitive compensation market trends.

  • Compliance: Help ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Vendor Coordination: Coordination with third-party vendors communications.

  • Departmental Support: Respond to additional adhoc needs and requests within the department.

Your profile

  • Currently pursuing or recently obtained a degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Analytical mindset.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Meticulous work ethic and great precision in handling tasks.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Some experience in HR or a related field is preferred.
