Position Description
The Clinical Operations Strategic Projects - Manager will have an exciting opportunity to apply their clinical operations and project management acumen to achieve transformation results in leading clinical projects that achieve key organizational strategic goals. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Strategic Projects, the Senior Project Manager will manage all aspects of the projects to ensure that scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, and risks are managed during each phase of a project's lifecycle. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with a wide variety of internal and external health system leaders to have a meaningful impact towards quality improvement and patient outcomes.
Here's What You'll Do
Clinical Operations Acumen
Apply deep understanding of hospital based clinical operations to lead the design and implementation of clinical projects in alignment with key organizational priorities.
Effectively engage with clinical stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, interprofessional and administrative teams, to identify challenges and opportunities for improvement, problem solve, design and implement solutions.
Collaborate with clinical teams to develop and execute change management plans, ensuring the successful adoption of new processes while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality
Process Improvement and Project Management
Utilize data-driven insights to evaluate existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement evidence-based strategies to streamline processes and workflows
Research and integrate best practices from healthcare and related industries to design innovative solutions that address systemic challenges, improve service delivery, and support strategic objectives
Apply effective facilitation, communication, and negation skills to work with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize and scope project objectives, tasks, deliverables and timelines throughout the project lifecycle
Ensure that all requirements, risks, potential obstacles, and outcomes are clearly understood and incorporated into the project plan
Develop business cases, conduct financial analyses, develop change management and implementation strategies
Ensure tracking of project deliverables against project milestones and financial metrics, ensuring the project will be completed on time and within budget
Ensure the delivery of project status reports to the project sponsors and key stakeholders, providing options and recommendations for corrective action to meet objectives when necessary
Here's What You'll Need
Master in: Nursing (MN), Business Administration (MBA),Health Administration (MHA), Public Health (MPH), Health Informatics (MHI), or other relevant disciplines
A degree in a health-related discipline is required (e.g. nursing)
Experience in a hospital environment is required
An ability to engage in clinical discussions
Project Management Professional (PMP) designation preferred
5 to 10 years managing increasingly complex clinical projects within the healthcare sector
Experience in workflow analysis and simplification techniques
Experience writing reports, briefing notes, status reports; and experience in process mapping
Demonstrated capacity to prepare data driven reports and presentations
Experience working with diverse stakeholders, ranging from frontline staff, clinicians, through to senior leadership/executive
Exemplary communication, organization, facilitation, collaboration, and relationship management skills
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office (i.e.: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
Capacity to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment with multiple shifting priorities
Ability to work in a highly accountable, measurement informed environment
Employment Type: 12 month contract.
