Job Summary
The Expert Solution Architect – Digital Workplace and End User Devices is responsible for defining sound end-to-end solutions that meet requirements and aligning with Enterprise Architecture and corporate orientations. Furthermore, the role is accountable for ensuring that solutions are delivered as defined.
Main Responsibilities
Document the existing technology portfolio and propose recommendations for improvements or alternatives
Document existing and develop new end-user computing and collaboration architectures
Design and optimize end-user computing services for employee efficiency and engagement with a self-service approach
Evaluate current and emerging cloud and infrastructure technologies
Lead Communities of Practice (CoPs) for efficient brainstorming, governance and change management
Develop end-user computing standards and best practices
Create, support, and influence pragmatic architectural oversight, using principles, policies, and guardrails
Review, understand and evaluate business requests to resolve feasibility, impacts, risks and recommendations
Collaborate with Enterprise and System Architectures in shaping, scoping, defining, planning and reviewing solutions
Provide direction to and align specialized architects in project engagements, ensuring proposed solutions meets business needs and are aligned with (or properly exempted from) corporate standards
Handle the architectural risk mitigation, issues escalation and resolution processes
Coach and support other Solution Architects
Working Conditions
The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure and stress.
Requirements
Experience
Solution Architecture
Minimum 10 of years experience in Information and Technology (I&T)
Minimum 5 years as an IT Architect covering desktop and mobile management solutions
Experience with on-premises to cloud migration of Microsoft productivity suite
Experience in planning, architecture of all aspects of Microsoft 365 solutions
Experience with numerous architectural fields such as application, information, technology, and security
Experience and ability to coach Solution Architects on new technology platforms and approaches
Experience in program, project scoping, and planning
Experience with platform-based architecture
Experience with full application lifecycle management
Experience with contractual agreement management and procurement
Experience in Transportation or Rail*
Experience in I&T security*

Education/Certification/Designation
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)*
Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)*
Microsoft 365 security administrator Expert*
Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)*
Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator Expert*
Azure Certification*
Certification for Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) concepts*

In depth knowledge in architecture frameworks, methodologies and tools, and implementation experience in I&T
In depth knowledge of Digital and Modern Workplace, and cloud-based delivery models
Knowledge of multiple concurrent initiatives
Nice to have both written and verbal (English, French)*
