Job Description:

Manage a portfolio of AI business management and governance activities and implement policies / processes and/or initiatives to meet business management, strategy and governance objectives. Interfaces regularly with management in the delivery of work activities.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES CUSTOMER

  • Contribute to the strategic direction of AI governance and control function and play a key role in the development and implementation of risk strategies in support of the overall AIstrategy

  • Plan, lead / manage and/or oversee a diverse set of work activities requiring alignment across multiple areas

  • Develop and document a comprehensive inventory of processes and controls with clearly defined owners and roles and responsibilities for each process and control

  • Review end-to-end processes and controls and “connect the dots” across issues and control deficiencies across various BUs in order to increase standardization of solutions, processes and controls

  • Provide direction to complex, wide ranging enterprise or cross-function / business projects as a SME, identify risk / provide guidance for complex situations and participate in designing, testing, and implementation of solutions

  • Act as lead for area of specialization with industry, enterprise, and business awareness; recognizing and anticipating emerging trends; and identifying issues and opportunities and recommending action to senior management in the governance and control space

SHAREHOLDER

  • Actively manage relationships with corporate and/or control functions and ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements

  • Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts to the Bank

  • Ensure programs / policies / practices are well managed, meets business needs / priorities, and complies with internal / external requirements

  • Exercise discretion in managing communication / correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality

  • Conduct analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations, assess the effectiveness of programs, policies, or practices

EMPLOYEE / TEAM

  • Participate as a member of the team, support a positive work environment and ensure timely communication

  • Provide leadership as a SME and participate in knowledge transfer within the team / business unit

  • Establish effective relationships across multiple business, technology, and partners, program and project managers

  • Keep current on emerging trends / developments and grow knowledge of the business, related tools and techniques

  • Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank

  • Prioritize and manage own workload in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines

BREADTH & DEPTH

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of businesses / technology, and organizational practices/ disciplines

  • Sound to advanced knowledge of external competition, industry and/or market trends in relation to own function / business

  • Work autonomously and accountable for acting as a lead within a specialized business management function and may provide work direction to others

  • Scope of role may have enterprise impact

  • Undertake and complete a variety of complex projects and initiatives requiring specialist knowledge and/or the integration of cross functional processes within own area of expertise

  • Generally reports to a Senior Manager or executive role

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate

  • 7+ years relevant experience
