Jacobs Manager of Projects (MOP), GTA Water Facilities in Toronto, Ontario
We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager of Projects (MOP), GTA Water Facilities to join our leadership team in Ontario, as a result of our stellar growth and strong sales pipeline in Ontario. The role will report to the Canada Water Market Leader and will have approximately 12 Project Managers as direct reports.
Ideally you will be based close to one of our southern Ontario offices (London, Kitchener, Toronto) so you can easily attend client/team meetings when required, but being located anywhere in Ontario is workable. The Manager of Projects (MOP) is a key member of the Canadian leadership team responsible for delivery leadership for a regional portfolio of water infrastructure projects, as well as supporting client management and satisfaction, and meeting or exceeding Gross Margin (GM). As the MOP, your main responsibilities will be:
Client Management
Intentional client engagement on active projects, including providing project director or project sponsor level interactions with Client leadership team
Identification and integration with sales opportunities through Client engagement
Staff Leadership
Provide inspirational leadership and career development for the aligned Project Managers, who may be your direct reports
Assist the project managers (PMs) and Client Services Leads (CSLs) with Client management and satisfaction
Lead recruitment and hiring of talent, and talent retention
Promote inclusion and diversity
Business Oversight
Ensure adherence to HSE requirements for all projects in their portfolio and aligned PMs

Portfolio Management
Ensure compliance with all Project Execution Group (PEG) /Quality policies, procedures, protocols and work instructions, and appropriate use of all mandated project tools
Review and approve proposal /project contract documents, risk and pricing
Conduct monthly Project Reviews on all portfolio projects and publish the project review report with critical issues and actions
Drive the delivery of budgeted gross margin (GM) for a portfolio of projects and aligned PMs.
Enhance GM results through focus on change management, cash management, and delivery of high quality, value added services to our clients.
Provide portfolio quarterly forecasts and monthly estimates for delivered GM and gross revenue (GR) against the annual business plan

Strong inspirational leadership skills
A collaborative and proactive communication style
Demonstrated project and portfolio management experience, with preference for direct experience in a consulting engineering environment
Water market project delivery experience, with preference for direct experience in the GTA Water market
Financial experience required along with demonstrated strong commercial and business acumen
Experience with contracts and risk management
Broad experience with project execution for various types of contracts
Demonstrated ability to drive accountability and compliance with procedures for planning, execution, and performance
Formalized education /degree in related field is required; Professional Registration is preferred
Strong organizational skills
Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring
