Job Description:

Job summary : Responsible for supporting 2nd-line oversight activities and monitoring of the AML/ATF/Sanctions/ABAC compliance programs for covered TD businesses and legal entities, including managing critical program initiatives and handling complex / high-risk matters and escalations.
Job Description:
Demonstrate governance, control and risk management behaviors aligned with TD policies and practices
Support or assist with the reviews of remediation efforts of audit findings or regulatory matters issued by relevant regulatory bodies.
Liaise with 1st line support function, internal audit, regulatory and law enforcement agencies on AML/ATF/Sanctions examinations and related inquiries.
Co-ordinate responses to regulatory examinations and internal audits, reviewing, packaging, and tracking and providing information for department executive.
Provide advice to the business on AML requirements across customers, products and transactions.
Complete all tasks within required timeframes
Ensure that assessments (monitoring, risk assessment etc.) are completed and communicated in a dynamic and timely fashion
Work collaboratively with business and control partners within the organization
Continually develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders
Actively monitor and assess global Financial Crimes and AML developments and emerging risk
Provide strategic direction on a broad and diverse range of complex AML/ATF/ Sanctions/ABAC program activities
Contribute to the development and implementation of AML/ATF/Sanctions/ABAC Compliance programs
Work with senior business unit management / partners to develop proactive strategies, tactics, policies, and programs to effectively manage regulatory / compliance issues
Provide insight, guidance, and recommendations and act as a specialized resource to other departments based on subject matter expertise including, but not limited to, customer identification and due diligence, enhanced due diligence, policy, governance, training and/or compliance assurance and testing

SHAREHOLDER
Actively assists in developing and overseeing implementation of business line policies and procedures
Collaborates with subject matter experts to develop and enhance methodologies for analyzing risk exposures of covered TD businesses
Consistently exercises discretion in managing correspondence, information, and all matters of confidentiality; escalates issues where appropriate
Proactively identify key business opportunities, research, and recommend enhancements / modifications, develop strategies to achieve recommendations and work closely with team to execute and implement
Actively manages relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or control functions and ensures alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements
Understand TDBG issues / parameters and guide others to protect the reputation and interest of TDBG by adhering to operating standards and processes related to AML/ATF/ Sanctions/ABAC
Provide oversight on risk assessment processes as required
Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high-risk transactions / activities as necessary
Keep current on emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts
Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite
Liaise with regulatory and law enforcement agencies on AML/ATF/ Sanctions/ABAC examinations and related inquiries
Ensure employees are building and enhancing their knowledge and expertise; and employees assume responsibility in minimizing e operational and regulatory risk by complying with Bank policy and Code of Conduct

BREADTH & DEPTH
Work collaboratively with AML/ATF/ Sanctions/ABAC professionals and overall operation of a diverse group in an area of moderate risk, complexity, or scope, while growing talent, developing skills and capabilities to achieve career goals, support project / initiative success and achieve business results
Provide oversight to aspects of an assigned portfolio of mature or non-complex and dynamic TD businesses and legal entities
Expert knowledge of the business and operational functions supported
Contact for business management, external/internal auditors, dealing with non-routine information
Sound knowledge of external competition, industry and/or market trends in relation to own function / business
Involves contact with cross-functional teams across TDBG and external contacts
Generally reports to a Senior Manager or above
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Undergraduate Degree
Advanced degree, professional accreditation, and/or 5+ years relevant industry experience.
Experience with Risk Management frameworks regulatory relationship management. Knowledge of key global Financial Crimes and AML regulations
Financial Crimes or AML or Internal Audit Designations(i.e. ACAMS, CIA, CPA, CMA etc.)
Experience dealing with Financial Crimes Regulatory Compliance would be an asset
