Position Overview
As a key member of StickerYou’s growing Development Department, we’re looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer. This person will report directly to the VP of Technology & Digital Products. This position will heavily collaborate with our VP of Marketing, and work collaboratively with other teams. This person will drive the user experience strategy for the StickerYou.com e-commerce site by working both independently and collaboratively with others. This person will be challenged to use their critical thinking and problem-solving skills to come up with creative solutions that improve the user experience across all channels.
What you'll do:
Craft the overall user experience strategy, design system, and content architecture for the site
Oversee a complete overhaul of site journeys and navigation
Create end-to-end designs including low-fidelity user interface sketches/wireframes through to high-fidelity pixel perfect visual design mockups and prototypes
Monitor analytics on user behaviour and site performance, continuously seeking opportunities to deliver a superior and higher converting experience
Develop a proficient understanding of StickerYou's products, customers and competition by leading and participating in user research, competitive analysis and other design thinking activities
Apply user-centered design best practices and methodologies as well as mobile-first/responsive design thinking
Work within tight deadlines without compromising quality
This is an Individual contributor role that works closely with and helps coordinate the activities of members of several other teams
What you bring to the team:
5+ years in UX Design, Digital Product Design or Visual/UI design. (ideally not with a primary focus on mobile)
A strong portfolio of projects which demonstrate creative, user-centered design solutions to complex problems, especially in an e-commerce context
Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in Design, User Experience or a related field
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to take responsibility for design of solutions from concept to completion
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across departments
Proficient and effective use of industry-standard UX and UI design tools, including Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite and XD and UXPin
Understanding of HTML/CSS/JS capabilities and limitations
Knowledge of printing industry considered an asset
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, or a related field is an asset
