Job Title: Machinst 2nd Shift

Job Location: Torrance, CA

Salary: $31.00-34.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual, automatic, cutoff and abrasive saws, punch press equipment and deburring machines.

• Hone machines, drilling machines, EDM, lathes, centerless grinders and other tools.

• Performing complete in-process operations on envelope assemblies and other parts requiring precision honing, such as TWT electron gun drilling and machining.

• Reviewing transfer sheet details and work on discrepancies, carefully review and understand customer requirements before working on them.

• Reduction of scrap and dispose of unavoidable scrap to the proper area.

Qualifications

• You will need at least one year of hands-on machine shop experience or equivalent education. Other qualifications that will enable you to do this job successfully include:

• Demonstrated skill in the use of precision measuring equipment, tools, dies, and jigs.

• Knowledge of all metals and their properties.

• Basic computer use and data entry skills.

• The ability to read mechanical blueprints.

• Basic math skills.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is needed, with additional trade school or other relevant certifications preferred.
