The Job:

As an Engineering Metrologists you’ll be part of our Power Tools Group team working as an onsite employee. You’ll get to:

• Conduct part-to-drawing measurements and generate accurate reports for the New Product Development (NPD) community.

• Ensure the correct creation of reports and sign off on them.

• Maintain the functionality and proper operation of all equipment and gauges.

• Effectively communicate the status of jobs to customers.

• Provide expertise in GD&T measurement support for NPD.

• Perform routine equipment maintenance and calibration.

• Continuously develop the capabilities of the lab.

• Complete other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

The Person:

You’re a curious hands-on problem solver, who has the ability to drive teamwork, delivering high quality results. You’re agile and adaptable but work with precision to ensure we deliver top-notch customer experiences, always.

• 3 years of metrology experience and education in a mechanical-related field.

• Proficiency in reading and comprehending engineering drawings.

• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and basic gear knowledge.

• Experience using various measurement equipment such as CMM equipment, 3D scanners, 2D vision systems, surface finishing tools, height gauges, runout measurement tools, and Gleason gear measurement equipment.

• Proficiency in programming CMMs, 3D scanners, 2D vision systems, and other related equipment.

The base pay range for this position in Maryland is $36,500k-$65,000k Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
