County of Jones Public Health Nursing Supervisor in Trenton, North Carolina
This position is responsible for the coordination and supervision of all clinical work assignments forvarious programs within the Jones County Health Department. Duties include the identification of bothinternal and external issues that may impact delivery of essential public health clinical services on a dailybasis and directs the nursing and other staff in adapting to and implementing approaches necessary toprovide the delivery of programmatic clinical services.
Regular department hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am tonoon.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Masters in Nursing and two years of Public Health nursing experience; or graduation from a four-year college or university with a B.S. in Nursing which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation and three years of Public Health nursing experience; or a
- Masters in Public Health and graduation from a school of professional nursing and two years of Public Health nursing experience; or
- graduation from a school of professional nursing and four years of professional nursing experience three of which must have been in Public Health; or
- an equivalent combination of training and experience.
License or Certification Required:
A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the NC Board of Nursing; a validNorth Carolina Drivers License
