About the role!
Responsible for supervising and developing processes for the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. Includes activities such as the timely payment of vendor invoices and expense vouchers or billing and receiving / posting cash receipts. Reconciles account balances, maintains accurate records and control reports. Provides technical and administrative supervision for accounting personnel responsible for accounts payable or accounts receivable. Supervises a small group or a function within a department.
What you’ll do
Coordinates the timely processing of invoices or billings, creating required reports.
Performs necessary month-end related functions.
Examines, audits and/or evaluates subordinate's work product for accuracy and completeness.
Identifies training needs of subordinate staff and provides technical guidance.
Responds to internal / external customer or vendor requests and inquiries.
Conducts research on more difficult or complex inquiries.
Ensures process and procedures are in compliance with company policies, acceptable accounting practices, and applicable regulations.
Establishes new internal policies and procedures to increase productivity and efficiencies.
Maintains and updates attendance employee records.
May coordinate tasks related to special projects.
Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory responsibilities
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, corrective action and termination. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Three to five years of related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to present information, respond to sensitive issues and manage to complex inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, supervisor, and/or management.
Broad understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Financial Accounting Standards (FASB), theories, concepts, and practices of the business unit. Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate advanced figures such as percentages, discounts, and mark-ups. Conducts advanced financial analysis. Administers accounting practices to ensure optimum client satisfaction while guaranteeing CBRE financial interests are protected.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications. Knowledge of Financial software systems.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Accounting Supervisor position is $65,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Accounting Supervisor position is $80,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance
