Aptiv seeks an Algorithm Developer in Troy, MI.

Duties: Contribute to the design and development of complex software applications, algorithms, and data models to enhance Situational Awareness capabilities of our safety critical system(s). Conduct in-depth research and analysis of emerging technologies, methodologies, and industry trends related to SAF. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technical fellows, feature owners and product managers to ensure effective integration of Situational Awareness solutions into AD / ADAS systems. Lead the evaluation, testing, and validation of SAF modules to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Identify and address technical challenges, troubleshoot issues, and propose innovative solutions to improve system functionality and performance.

Requires a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Robotics or related field plus knowledge in related occupation(s). In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Robotics or related field(s), or related field plus 2 years of experience in in related occupation(s).   Requires knowledge of (2 years of experience with Bachelors) with the following: Development experience using C / C++ / Matlab Simulink. Developing automotive / robotic embedded software applications. Requires knowledge of (2 years of experience with Bachelors) with the following: Designing controls, sensor fusion or situation analysis algorithms. Agile Software Development and Tools, including GIT/Gerrit. Developing, designing, and debugging CAN and Ethernet gateway communication.
