Job Title: Automotive Technician
Job Description
The Automotive Technician should be able to work on every part of the vehicle. This role involves timing the process to take apart and put the vehicle back together, optimizing the process as they go through the cars.
Responsibilities
Perform on-vehicle validation of service procedures
Identify errors and possible optimizations within service procedures
Perform time studies of removal and installation procedures
Document validations and time studies
Document and communicate project status to leadership as required
Perform special assignments as needed
Essential Skills
Minimum of 2 years working as an automotive technician/mechanic
Master ASE Certified or at least two ASE certifications (A1-A8)
Labor time and technical writing experience
Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability
Team player and detail-oriented
Strong leadership and mentoring skills
Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations
Ability to perform detailed calculations to establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications
Strong knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology
Previous experience with computer applications and design software related to the engineering field
Valid driver's license and pass MVR check
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- HS Diploma required, associate degree in a technical field of study preferred

Work Environment
Work Schedule: M-F 6:30am - 2:30pm or 7:30am - 3:30pm. The shop closes at 3:30pm. The facility is a 50k square foot, quiet and clean dealership garage setup with 29 vehicle hoists. Technicians use snap-on hand tools provided by the company, with no need to supply their own tools. Each technician has an identical and organized toolbox. All necessary PPE is provided and safety is strictly enforced.
