Job Title: Repair Dispatcher (Relief Designated)

Location: Integrated Operations Center

Pay: $61.63/ hourly

Hours: Various

Job Description

It is recognized that the Company is engaged in a public service requiring continuous operation, and it is agreed that recognition of such an obligation of continuous service is imposed upon both the Company and the Union.

The Relief Repair Dispatcher will perform regular dispatch duties in support Grid Ops and Response and Restoration goals. The Relief Repair Dispatcher will review incoming customer outage and emergency calls and dispatch response crews with maximum regard to public and employee safety, outage information requirements, and restoration.

Duties

  • Work safely and professionally.

  • Receive and accurately document calls for Customer Outage, Street Light Outage, and Emergency Response and handle them promptly and professionally.

  • Perform Crew Callouts to dispatch Eagles and Crews for response and restoration.

  • Use current computer technology & tools to investigate, diagnose, and document outage information and to dispatch eagles/crews for response and restoration.

  • Respond to emergency situations in a manner that assures the prompt and efficient handling of the situation.

  • Provide timely outage information in OMS, including Event Details, Cause Codes and ERT’s.

  • Maintaining status information on OUTAGES (computer outage system, currently OMS).

  • Make customer calls to verify AMI status.

  • Maintain streetlight maintenance records.

  • Professionally work with difficult customers, both internal and external.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Relief Repair Dispatcher will transfer to Repair Dispatcher position when a vacancy exists.

Qualifications (Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required)

  • Two years of experience directly related to line construction work within the last 5 years.

  • Proficient computer skills with emphasis on OMS, IQGEO, Maximo, Microsoft Teams, RNI, CDC, C2M, ARCOS, MS Windows, Outlook, and Excel. (Skills will be assessed)

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Excellent human relations skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize critical work.

  • Able to work alone and under indirect supervision.

  • Working knowledge of PGE service territory and electrical distribution system.

  • Successfully completed Repair Dispatcher Training program within probationary period.

During the probationary period following reassignment to any job, at least two progress reports will be completed. These reports will be discussed with the employee by his/her immediate supervisor, and copies of each will be given to him/her.

Salary Range:

$61.63 - $61.63

Starting pay is listed in the job posting above. Salary range determined by the current collective bargaining agreement and may include step increases based on time in the position.
