Job Summary:

Raytheon is looking for an experienced supply chain professional to perform the Material Program Management (MPM) function related to obsolescence execution within the Supply Base on the SM-3 Program.

The successful candidate will be accountable for assigned material provided by suppliers supporting the SM-3 Program. The supply base includes major subcontractors which manufacture high level assemblies, various commodities, and sub-tier component suppliers and brokers.

This role will actively engage with PMO, Engineering, Operations, Production Control, Quality, Property, and Procurement Teams to ensure alignment with obsolescence tracking and execution to ensure continual production of SM-3 IB & IIA Missile Production Programs. Duties include supporting the SM-3 Program by managing the assigned manufacturing material, both make and buy parts, and supporting forecasting related to the run out of material, and completing the required tasks to ensure material is procured and delivered on time to support production including the purchasing of components for Lifetime Buys (LTB).

The successful candidate will be able to influence and communicate effectively across multiple functional departments, as well as to Program Leadership and in some cases directly with the Raytheon customer. The candidate will be a self-starter who is able to work both independently and well with others in solving complex material obsolescence issues.

The successful candidate will be a critical member of the SM-3 Obsolescence Cross-Functional Program Team responsible for identifying, proposing, and executing the required tasking related to supplier obsolescence.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide status by preparing and presenting slides and files during regular SM-3 Obsolescence Team Tag- Ups, Weekly Program Execution Reviews, Monthly Program Leadership Reviews, & Monthly Customer Program Reviews.

  • Support the Supplier Management Process (i.e., Line of Balance/PO Place Plans, Risks/Opportunities, supplier performance, material sales forecast, & EACs) related to obsolescence items within the Supply Base.

  • Collaborate with SM-3 MPM Proposal Team in accepting hand-off after contract award by ensuring the parts are properly loaded to MRP to commence tasking to ensure the timely execution of obsolescence requirements.

  • Be adaptable and flexible to address urgent obsolescence issues which may pop up without much advance notice.

  • Monitor & present Supply Chain Performance Dashboard Metrics for the SM-3 IDIQ contract and associated task orders which fund obsolescence monitoring and execution.

  • Proactively address and complete urgent supply chain tasking (Purchase Requisitions, Single/Sole Source Justifications, Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW), PO follow up, and by providing other pertinent direction to Supply Chain to expedite the ordering and receipt of parts to support continuous production.

  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to maximize the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) integrity in support of on time deliveries and mitigation of material constraints.

  • Raytheon MPM Level 4 Certification or have ability to obtain certification within 24 months.

  • Raytheon Earned Value (EV) Certified in accordance with RP-FIN-GBS-004 or have ability to obtain certification within 24 months.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience

  • Experience with SAP (APEX/PRISM) transactions related to Purchasing, Material, Management, Purchasing, Logistics, Receiving, and/or Shipping.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, with strong Excel and/or PowerPoint skills.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Knowledge of supply chain functions and responsibilities to include basic understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) through experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or have ability to obtain the clearance within 12 months.

  • Strong organizational skills in project management and task prioritization.

  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills; ability to listen well and communicate effectively with others.

  • Production Control & Planning Experience.

  • Strong analytical skills required for material planning, constraint recognition, and identify risks and opportunities related to supplier parts obsolescence management.

  • Property Management experience including management of GFM and experience of the DD 250 process

  • Experience in Part Number Database Search (i.e. eCIMS Web Queries)

  • Experience in Financial and Cost Account Management (CAM), Material Estimating & Price/Cost Analysis

  • Understanding of US Government Procurement Regulations (FAR) & US Government Property Policies and Procedures.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skillset desired (i.e. pivot tables, advanced formulas, external data sources, automation, etc.).

  • Use of Advanced Supply Chain Planning tools (Kinaxis RapidResponse) & familiar with industry obsolescence related tools (GIDEP Alert)

  • Raytheon Six Sigma Specialist/ CORE Associate, or equivalent.

  • Experience with electronic components and circuit card assemblies

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
