System One Telecommunications Technician (Analog Experience) in Tulsa, Oklahoma

Job Title: Telecommunications Technician (Analog Systems)

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (Contract to Hire)

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician with experience in analog systems and phone system maintenance, support, and installation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the company's telecommunications infrastructure, providing technical support, and performing installations and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Maintenance:

  • Install, configure, and maintain analog phone systems and related equipment.

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of telecommunications systems to ensure optimal performance.

  • Upgrade and replace outdated or malfunctioning equipment as needed.

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical support to end-users for phone system issues, including troubleshooting and resolving problems.

  • Assist in diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues related to telecommunications systems.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.

System Monitoring:

  • Monitor the performance of telecommunications systems to identify and address potential issues proactively.

  • Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure system reliability and functionality.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of installations, configurations, and maintenance activities.

  • Prepare reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other IT staff and departments to ensure seamless integration of telecommunications systems with other technologies.

  • Provide training and support to staff on the use of phone systems and related equipment.

    Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Telecommunications Technician with a focus on analog systems.

  • Strong knowledge of analog phone systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with telecommunications equipment and tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Relevant certifications in telecommunications or related fields are a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time or part-time position with occasional on-call duties.

  • Ability to lift and carry telecommunications equipment.

  • Work may involve climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
